Young Marshall

Very little is known of Frank Marshall's early career since most biographies skip quickly over this period onto the great tournaments of his later years. For this book chess historian John Hilbert has researched many forgotten newspapers and journals to produce the first accurate account of this part of Marshall's life. Even Marshall, in his autobiography "My 50 Years of Chess", often failed to remember his own past correctly!
